Not on Mothers DayAnd really, you should not extend such a personal gift to her while she is still your teacher.

Awww.... That's so nice. Sure, why not? She is something of a mother figure to her students. I am sure your gesture would be much appreciated!

Answer #7
Why not. I'm sure she'll be very happy. You can get her address and ask the shop to deliver it. Carnation is nice.

Answer #8
If she is like a mother to you and you have a special relationship then it would be a kind gesture. If you don't have that kind of relationship yet she is still special why not send flowers at another time. Maybe as school is ending and you want to thank her for all the help she has given you over the year.

Answer #9
Get her flowers, but do it in person, hand them to her in front of the class.Otherwise, if you send them to her home privately, it may seem... well questionable.

That would be nice. You could just send them to school. The florist will deliver. I'd suggest fresh cut flowers. Tell the florist that and they will know what you what. They are the prettiest and last the longest.

That's a nice idea. Maybe you could give her a card and the flowers (like a spring bouquet with tulips etc) this Friday (before Mother's day) at school either early before classes start or after school.I would not go to her flat. She might not like that. If you know her address you can send the flowers to her address through a flower shop.

Answer #14
You would have to bring them to her the Next day after Mothers day and tell her that your sorry that your giving them to her late. OR Give the flowers to her on friday before you go home. Maybe just a card or what ever else you feel like giving her for a Mother's Day present.

This is my opinion on the matter, though i must warn you in advance that not everyone will agree with me. I don;t think that you should give your teacher a gift on mothers day. it has always seemed a bit inappropriate to me to give gifts to anyone other than your own mother on mothers day. having said that, i think that it is incredibly kind of you to want to bring flowers to your teacher. educators are generally not appreciated as much as they should be. i think you should give your teacher flowers, but i think that it doesn't matter which day you give them to her, as long as she knows that you are giving them to her because you respect and admire her. Flowers are fine, but as shes not your mother, or even a mother at all, id avoid mothers day gifts.

There is nothing wrong with sending her a small Mother's Day bouquet, just don't go overboard with it. Regarding flowers, visit the florist and see what you can afford. It doesn't matter what you send, it is the thought behind it that counts. Have the florist deliver them to her at school on Friday. In your note, say: I just want to thank you for the kindness you have shown to me. Happy Mother's Day. and sign your name. She will appreciate your thoughfulness.

Answer #17
Yes, of course it's fine to send her flowers... But maybe you would consider sending her an orchid plant or any other potted plant, that way it will not die and she can have it on her school desk all year round. Make sure the pot has a plate underneath so when she waters it, the water won't run onto her desk ... Just give it to her personally at school, maybe on her break time, and let her know how important she has been in your life for you.

Answer #18
If you're absolutely certain that she does not have children, you could send the flowers with a card that says something sweet like, "Even though you don't have children, I wanted you to know that you've made a significant difference in children's lives through your career. Thank you for being such an excellent teacher!" I think it sounds like a very nice and thoughtful idea.

maybe not on mothers day...apart from anything - they seem to double in price on that day!!it wouldnt be appropriate for you to go to her flat..so why not get them delivered to her...or even get her a box of chocolates which you can hand to her after your lesson? kind thought though..must be a nice teacher!!

Answer #21
NO. She is not your mother. Don't you have a mother? If you wish, send her something after Mother's Day.

Answer #22
She will delighted to receive flowers from you. Teachers get little thanks. You could have them delivered, or as someone has suggested, a nice pot plant taken to the school.
