My mom is the hardest person to buy for in the world, so I arrange a day off, take her shopping, buy her an item of clothing etc which she chooses, then treat her to a nice lunch. I know this means she doesn't get a surprise from me, but we have a nice girly day, which she loves. We are heading to town on Friday to do the mothers day thing.

What about a photo tree with different photos of you when you were growing up. Or of you and your brothers and sister (if any). I am sure she would treasure it.

Buy her something you know she will enjoy. Does she have a hobby? How about a sweater, even though I am sure she has we can always use another one. Or treat her to a spa, manicure and pedicure. Hope I helped.Just don't get her a scarf, or a pair of hosiery or anything on that order. You want he to know that you really did think about the gift. You are a very good daughter, and your mother must be the best as you are so concerend.

Perfect, you get the sale prices! JKOk, on a serious note, does she have a hobby? If so, get a cute basket and fill it with things for a hobby. (The container can be anything, not neccesarily a basket! Get creative!)For example:Scrapbooking Basket-include trims, an album, a disposable camera, scrapbook papers and materials.Gardening Basket-Cute gloves and outdoor hat, seeds, gardening tools Shopping Purse-gift card to her favorite store, a new wallet. The possibilites are endles.Just find things that she is already into and make something creative with it. Doesn't have to be expensive, people usually prefer something that is useful and enjoyable.Good luck!

get her something totally different and help charity at the same time. Visit any of the following Oxfamunwrapped, Samaritans Purse, Sightsavers, CAFOD (and I'm sure there are more). You buy a gift and the money goes to people in the world who really need it and both you and your mum get to feel really good about helping others. your mum will get a great card to say what she's been 'given' and you can also buy a little add on like chocs from the sites so you actually have something to give to her on the day.
