Question: Wedding flower ideas please!?

Question : Wedding flower ideas please!?
My wedding colors are blue and white with red as an accent color. Does anyone have any ideas for what flowers I can use in those colors for my bouquet and decoration? I was thinking about using roses, (you can get blue roses by dying white ones), but roses can be pricey, so I'd like to know my other options. Does anyone know of any websites that allow you to view different kinds of flowers? And if you've been married, what kind of flowers did you use? Please send your opinions! Thanks!

First of all, Congratulations! Our wedding was Star Trek themed in Las Vegas and I was having a hard time finding flowers that looked exotic and I finally went to Jo-Ann Fabrics to pick out silks. The lady started to tell me that I couldnt mix this with that because they were different seasons and so on. My colors were white, lavender and dark blue. I ended up picking out white with lavender orchids, silver metallic babys breath (from christmas clearance), some light green and lavender cactus filler and a few others. My point is, nobody will notice if the flowers are real or fake. You can even mix real and fake if you do them yourself. Dont worry about seasons, Do what you want. Its your wedding.

How about spider mums? They look like sparklers. Seeing as you have a red white and blue theme...I think they would look most patriotic and beautiful. I have only seen them in white though. Talk to your florist to see what they can do for your colors.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! Have you considered carnations? They are beautiful, come in different sizes, are hearty, inexpensive and their color can easily be changed by putting them in water with food coloring. You could also go the route I did and use all silk flowers. I used all silk in my wedding because I have allergies. Believe me, NONE of my guests knew they were silk. Plus, I've been married almost 8 years and I still have my bouquet! I went to a craft warehouse that literally has thousands of flowers to pick from. You can also try any craft store like AC Moore or Michael's. Don't be afraid to try K-Mart and Wal-Mart. I've found gorgeous flowers at both places for very reasonable prices. As for websites, I've listed a few below that I found and I hope they're helpful. Good luck!!!

carnations can also be dyed to various colors and are inexpensive compared to roses - for other ideas you may want to call a local florist or maybe find a website for a florist to see what kind of flowers you can find there
