Question: Is there anything a girl would want besides flowers for Valentine's Day?

Question : Is there anything a girl would want besides flowers for Valentine's Day?
Looking to get my girlfriend something for Valentine's Day. Should I stick with flowers (traditional) or is there something else I could get for around the same price that she would appreciate just as much if not more?

Well there`s alot you can do on Valentine`s Day. take her out to a department store and buy her a Valentine`s pair of p.j.s . or take her out to a movie and get a box of chocolates and munch down on those.

Well here's the thing, every girl expects flowers for Valentine's Day. It's just something that people need to get more original on. If flowers accompany something with more thought in it, then that's sweet, but alone it doesn't mean much if you've been dating for awhile. Even flowers and a card (not store-bought, handmade) are better than just plain flowers. Think about what your girlfriend likes... maybe cook her favorite meal for her?

Answer #4
Is she materialistic???? If yes Jewelry! (you can get cheap chains and heart pendants at alot of stores!, and she can keep it!)If she isn't materialistic, A meaningful card!.I tell my man not to buy me flowers for valentines, as it is too easy!....I prefer him to get me an appropriately worded card, or write me a poem. (you could even give her a poem (search on the internet) (making sure you write the authors name on the bottom of course!!!!). Goodluck!

I'd stick with the flowers and add a handwritten note from you telling her what she means to you. Really sit down and think about what she means to you and put it on paper. Valentines day is a celebration of love and women really, really appreciate knowing they're loved. (-:

Chocolates, take her out to dinner, girls love stuffed teddy bears etc with I Love You motifs on them, Depending on the flowers, then jewellery(one of those charms that splits in two, one for you and one for her). Hope this helps.

Around the same price? I don't think so. But that depends on what flower and how many you buy.Every girl always refer to what they get with value of money. Not every girl admit it, but it's true.

Personally I would rather we did something together than get a present so if you think she might like that you could take her to see some live music, have dinner on the beach or go on a day-trip to a nearby town. The old booklet of IOU's is a good one too. Y'know the "IOU one massage, cook dinner, hug, wash dishes" thing.

Flowers seem so over done unless you get her something different...like orchids ;) that's always cool! Not the everyday roses....Women are not that hard to figure out people! We really aren't.....just doing small romantic gestures if you are lucky enough to be with the one you love on that day. A great Breakfest in bed....or send flowers to work followed by a great dinner....run a bath for her. Get her pajamas and a bath set.....for more great ideas and great links to romantic original and ungeneric ideas go to www.womenshelp.net they have a bunch of great links for unique gifts!
