Question: Should I give roses to the girl I like for Valentine's day?

Question : Should I give roses to the girl I like for Valentine's day?
My school dose this thing around valentines day where you buy flowers that are given to whoever you send them to in school. I was wondering if I should get some for this girl that I like and am too shy to talk to. I only talked to her once and I am kind of shy around her. Would this be a good idea or not?

The only thing that i would say about that is that just that if you are shy...by sending her flowers through school...you are going to be letting everyone know that you like her and it will be information made public? Not sure if that makes sense. You still have some time before vday to think about it. Another thing that you might be able to do would be to write a card to her and just put it in her locker. Let her know that you are interested in her but just shy? best of luck...

Honestly, I wouldn't do it. Making a gesture like that only works with a girl who you're pretty sure likes you back. People are inevitably going to ask who sent it, and this could make both you and her feel bad when she answers them and when she talks to you afterwards. The best thing to do now is to start talking to her more. If you become more friendly with one another, then buy her a rose. If not, then your money--and heart--are safe.

First wear something girl- CUTE (button down or sweater) and get your teeth clean and hair cut before that day. Ask a "girl" friend or a sister. they would love to dress you up.Send the flower- but be different, get a real card and put it with it, NOT just a regular school one- one of those talking Hallmark cards it real cool. Use a PINK or PURPLE Rose- save the red ones for later. Let that flower do "lots of talking for you".In the card, sign your first name and put your phone number at the bottom. I would write a cute little note on the large left side: Paul Smith would like to invite you to share a hot cup of coffee or cocca on Saturday 3pm Starbucks in the Mall, so you can get to know how warm fuzzy I feel about you. SO use the whole name, lots of guys send flowers and don't sign for them or two of them have the same name, and its confusing. {okay- i was a cute girl and got lots of flowers-its a hint) I did send a thank you note to all that I could ID even if I wasn't interested in them.Pay for coffee and get another same color rose and give it to her at the "date" with a small box of Godiva chocolates (Macy's).You are well on your way. Shy never wins the prize my friend, "nut up" and make it happen my man!The good thing- other girls will see it and they may like you, so if it doesn't work out- Be strong, kind and polite.Another girl is watching- trust me on that one.

When I was in 9th grade, I opened my locker door one morning to find a single, beautiful red rose waiting for me. It had no tag, I had no idea who it was from (well I thought, just maybe ....). I then had to decide what to do with it, either leave it in my locker and hope someone says something about it, or carry it with me to start the questions flying, and find out who my admirer was!! I carried it with me, and sure enough, by 2nd period I knew who it was (so i was right!!). He ended up being my first love, and my first intimate experience. Send her the flowers for V-day, but I think you should try the red rose in the locker thing about 2-3 weeks after. She'll be pleasantly surprised!
