Yes; florists often use orchids in flower arrangements. Get vials that can be placed on the cut end of the orchid to keep it hydrated; if you can place it into a cool area at night, it will last longer.

Dendrobium sprays are quite long lasting as cut flowers and reasonably inexpensive if you order them over the 'net from Hawaii. Treat them the way you would any other cut flower.Others, like cymbidiums can be quite pricey, and sold by the number of flowers per stem.If you do order dendrobiums, when they arrive, cut a little off of each stem end and soak them in the sink for 30 minutes or so, then do with them as you wish. They keep quite well.
