I would let the girl choose herself, between those colors you mention and any other available and imaginable.I think that a child that has lost a parent has been through enough to stick to social rules relating to appropriate flower colors!Let the girl choose the flower that reminds her of her mother or the one that she thinks her mother would like to be given on this special day!Goodluck!

White becuase it resembels peace, like on the candy cane the red is for jesus' blood when he died but white resemebels peace and harmony, so if you want my oppion then it's white for all the reasons above

My mom is not with me anymore either. I would wear my mom's favorite flower. If that flower was red, I'd wear red and if it were white, I'd wear white.

In my thoughts and from what I've learned, it should be red. Each color on a flower represents a significance. White means "pure." And red means "love."But this depends on what YOU feel it should be. Don't always go with what others say or what tradition says the flower should be.

If you cant decide, you can wear a red rose along with white rose buds or vice verse. My mother would just be very proud I thought of her instead of the color of the flowers I wore. The same from my granny, she loved all flowers and would also be tickled because I would be thinking of her and that's what is important!
