Question: how to keep alive bamboo in a flower arrangement?

Question : how to keep alive bamboo in a flower arrangement?
Using cut bamboo in a flower arrangement always results in the bamboo leaves drying up and curling within hours. Is there any way to preserve the bamboo? I am using golden bamboo.

Thats usually pretty tough. Although bamboo is the toughest plant to kill in the ground, it is touchy when cut. You may want to go to your local flower shop and ask for some leaf preserver. Its a spray that coats the leaves (spray on top and bottom) with a wax that keeps the moisture from exiting through the stomata. If done right, the bamboo can be reused in many arrangements. This will keep the leaves nice and full and shiny.
